Ryan Lynch, PT, OCDN, CCTT is a graduate of the University of Maryland’s physical therapy program, with over 22 years of clinical experience. After progressing his career through both inpatient rehab and outpatient orthopedics, Ryan found his passion in treating temporomandibular disorders and craniofacial pain. He has undergone extensive training in the field of TMD, jaw pain and cervicogenic headaches, studying directly under the top healthcare providers in this specialty. This distinguished list includes: Mariano Rocabado, Jeff Manheimer, Steve Kraus, Jan Dommerholt and Mike Karegeannes. His  academic pursuit culminated in the certification as a Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT), making him one of only 75 physical therapists in North America who have this unique qualification. This accreditation requires both consistent coursework engagement and monitoring contemporary research in the area of TMD treatment. Furthermore, Ryan is certified in orofacial dry needling. While dry needling is an advanced skill in physical therapy, this accreditation for performing the technique to the neck and face allows an extremely comprehensive approach to treatment of TMD and orofacial pain.

Ryan owns and operates Lynch Physical Therapy, with two outpatient clinics in the Baltimore area, specializing in the treatment of TMD and orofacial pain. While both offices treat general orthopedics, approximately two thirds, or 275 patient visits per week focus on TMD, cervical and craniofacial pain. Ryan commonly addresses dentists, oral surgeons, hygienists and physicians supporting the use of physical therapy for TMJ disorders. His lecture “Treating TMD & Orofacial Pain with Physical Therapy,” is accredited by the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners and has helped oral health professionals recognize the benefits of physical therapy in the treatment of TMJ disorders.
